24 Hour Service

Core and Cluster

Louise Place offers support and accommodation to young women who are pregnant or parenting. The focus is on 18 year olds and younger. Young women who do not wish, or are unable, to be accommodated at Louise Place can be supported via the Outreach Programme.

A Youth Support Worker is available 24 hours a day. Every woman is also linked with a staff member who will work with the young women to help them achieve personal goals.

Staff work together to offer a range of support such as:
  • Assistance in establishing baby care routines
  • Developing cooking skills
  • Budgeting skills
  • Meal planning
  • Emotional support
  • Pregnancy support
  • Parenting skills
  • Help in linking with medical services
  • Assistance in applying for Centrelink entitlements
  • Supporting applications for Housing Trust and other accommodation
  • Other support as requested
Living at Louise Place is a good opportunity to learn the skills needed to access and maintain your own place. Accommodation is available in fully furnished single units.

Some young women only stay a few days, other women might live here from the early stages in their pregnancy until baby is older.

Accommodation rates are scaled according to the young woman's income.
